The big story: SparkCognition Earns Frost & Sullivan’s Company of the Year Award and Claims a Spot on XB100 List for Distinguished AI Innovation and Leadership
At SparkCognition, our focus is, first and foremost, on serving our customers. But it’s always nice when others notice our contributions in the artificial intelligence sector. The following awards were exciting to receive and not to be taken lightly.
On June 14th, we were delighted to announce our inclusion in the inaugural XB100 list. Published by XPRIZE and Bessemer Venture Partners, the XB100 assembles the definitive ranking of the top 100 private deep tech companies.
The XB100 evaluation process involves ranking companies across four factors: impact on humanity, valuation, scientific difficulty, and commercial traction. “The companies on the XB100 list represent the most valuable and impactful private companies in the deep tech sector,” said Tess Hatch, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners.
“We’re honored to recognize the innovators featured on the inaugural XB100 and their important impacts on society,” said Anousheh Ansari, CEO of XPRIZE. “As we work to empower problem-solvers around the world to address humanity’s greatest challenges, XPRIZE celebrates these great minds and our collective impact.”
Then on June 29th, we shared the tremendous news of receiving Frost & Sullivan’s 2023 Best Practices Company of the Year Award for industrial AI solutions. The award recognizes the significant impact SparkCognition has had on the industry through continuous innovation, business transformation, and financial performance.
The Frost & Sullivan report highlights the company’s visionary understanding of the marketplace and ability to deliver new products, solutions, and services to meet market demands. Furthermore, the award identifies SparkCognition as a pioneer in the industries it serves.
“Based on our extensive research and assessment of the marketplace, SparkCognition has demonstrated unparalleled leadership and success in the industrial AI solutions space,” said Sebastián Trolli, Industrial Technologies Sr. Industry Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. “SparkCognition is uniquely positioned to enhance organizational and operational processes of businesses worldwide with their patented AI technology, diverse AI-powered solutions, and deep subject matter expertise.”
Thank you to Frost & Sullivan, XPrize, and Bessemer Venture Partners for these prestigious recognitions.
Big News: Oil & Gas Maintenance Advisor Chosen to Help National Grid Grain LNG Avert Unplanned Downtime
In another big June announcement, we revealed that SparkCognition Oil & Gas Maintenance Advisor was selected by National Grid Grain Liquefied Natural Gas (Grain LNG) Terminal as a solution to monitor its pumps and compressors in real-time following a successful proof of concept project. Integrated with Grain LNG’s system, Maintenance Advisor demonstrated an ability to successfully identify over 90 percent of production-impacting issues an average of 8 days in advance. As a result, Grain LNG can avert unplanned downtime, reduce costs and potentially increase the useful life of its LNG Terminal assets.
More context on this great win for SparkCognition from our press release:
National Grid Grain LNG Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Grid, an energy company operating in the United Kingdom and the United States. It owns Grain LNG Terminal, located on the Isle of Grain in the United Kingdom. It is currently the largest terminal in Europe and eighth largest in the world by tank capacity with a site that spans over 600 acres in total.
Grain LNG Terminal currently has an LNG storage capacity of one million cubic meters and a throughput capability of 15 million tons annually, equivalent to 20% of UK gas demand.
“As energy demand rises, it’s become increasingly important that our LNG Terminals continue to operate in a predictable, safe, and highly-efficient fashion,” said Simon Culkin, Importation Manager of Grain LNG. “Using SparkCognition’s industry-leading Maintenance Advisor, we can detect and address equipment problems early, avoid unplanned downtime, minimize customer interruption and costs, and potentially extend the operating life of our LNG Terminal assets.”
